I can’t believe I’m already sharing what I’m reading in August. This year’s going by super fast, but I’m okay with summer being over. I’ve always loved fall and winter more. Even so, I have so many summer books left to read, and August is my last chance before I delve into cozier and darker reads. As usual, I only have six books on my TBR, and reading prompts helped me choose them.
Pirates of the Caribbean meets The Mummy in Tricia Levenseller’s Vengeance of the Pirate Queen, which follows fan-favorite Sorinda and is a must read for anyone who loves fierce heroines and swoon-worthy romance.

These are my priority reads for August, but I’m a mood reader—so who knows if I’ll actually get to them all. And, great news!
