Friday Reads #19

Hi Friends,
Happy Friday! Let us do a Friday reads and talk about some books I hope to get to this weekend. I hope to get a lot of reading done this weekend, so this might be a little ambitious. However, I think my reading is always ambitious, so what else is new?

The Unfortunate Side Effects of Heartbreak and Magic by Breanne Randall
I am very excited to read this book. Everyone is talking about how good it is, and I cannot wait to see what the hype is about.

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
I am only about 10% into the book, but I love it thus far. The story gives me classic young adult fantasy, and it is exactly the type of book I want to read right now.

My Roommate Is a Vampire by Jenna Levine
I am definitely in the mood for a cute romcom. I will not want to read this book late in the month, since it is giving October vibes, so I am hoping to read it right at the start of November.

Accidentally Amy by Lynn Painter
I am a huge fan of Lynn Painter, and this book has been on my TBR for a long time. However, I have been saving it for the fall. The cover and mention of pumpkin spice lattes makes me think that this is the month to pick it up. I would love to start off the month reading a 5 star prediction.

Four books in three days might seem like a bit much, but I am nothing but an over-achiever. In the comments, let me know what you will be reading on this weekend. Share your favorite read from October. Before you go, hit the follow button so that you can never miss a post.

Friday Reads #18

Hi Friends,
This is the last weekend in July. I have been reading like crazy, and now I am kind of in a reading slump. However, I hope that these books will pull me out of my reading slump.

The Legacies by Jessica Goodman
I am 30% into this YA thriller book and hope to be done with it soon. Right now, I am not loving it, but I am hoping that it will start to pick up.

When In Rome by Sarah Adams
I have been in the mood for a cute rom-com style adult romance. This book has been on my radar for a while and I own it, which is awesome since I am trying to read more books off my physical TBR. Hopefully, I will get to it by the end of the month.

Furyborn by Claire Legrand
This book has been on many Friday reads and TBRs. I just need to finish it! Since I am becoming more of a fantasy girlie, I think that I might finally be able to binge read the last 50% of this book.

In the comments, let me know what you are currently reading. Do not forget to like this post and follow this blog before you go.

Friday Reads #17

Hi Friends,
Happy Friday! This weekend, I’ve got some major reading plans! Seriously, I’ve come up with a whole little reading schedule. Now, I believe that I can finish all of these books this weekend, but I’m a bit of an overachiever. Aiming high isn’t always a bad thing though, am I right?

Yerba Buena by Nina LaCour (50%): This is an adult contemporary story that I’m halfway through. So, I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to finish it this weekend.

Never Vacation with Your Ex by Austin Siegemund-Broka and Emily Wibberley (30%): This is your standard YA contemporary romance that I’m (surprisingly) enjoying. If you know me, you know I have a love/hate relationship with this author duo. I’m hoping to knock this book out this weekend as well, since YA romance are typically pretty fast reads.

Dear Future Mama by Meghan Trainor (15%): Most of yiu probably don’t know this, but I’m 30 years old and trying to get pregnant with my first child. And, this pregnancy journey has been anything but easy. So, I’m always looking for advice on baby making. This book is such a quick read and Meghan is such a fun narrator. I will most likely going to be finished with it this weekend.

Those are the books I’m going to be reading this weekend. Although, I have started two other books so I don’t really know if my reading schedule is going to go as planned. In the comments, let me know what your reading this weekend. Don’t forget to hit the follow button before you leave.

Friday Reads #16

Hello Friends,
Let’s do a weekend reading breakdown! I love sharing what I hope to read over the weekend with you guys. So, here is my Friday reads and it’s an ambitious one. But, what else is new.

A Magic Steeped in Poison‘ by Judy I. Lin
I’m on a fantasy kick and this book is fulfilling all my fantasy needs right now. I’m not far into it but the writing is amazing. And, so far I’m loving the story.

She Is a Haunting‘ by Trang Thanh Tran
I have been dying to read this book since I got the audiobook on release day. Honestly, I can’t remember the plot but I know that it’s a YA horror. This also happens to be my ‘The Reading Rabbits’ book club pick!

The Way I Used to Be‘ by Amber Smith
If you’ve read my blog for any amount of time you know that I love a good young adult contemporary. However, I haven’t really had the desire to pick any up lately. Yet, I picked this book out of my TBR jar so I would like to read it this month.

The Book of Cold Cases‘ by Simone St. James
I’ve been very intrigued by this book lately and it’s kind of been calling to me. It’s an adult thriller, so I’m most likely going to love it. Although, getting to it this weekend might be a bit of a stretch.

Those are the books I’m hoping to read with in 3 days. Yeah, I might be a little insane. In the comments, let me know what you are planning to read this weekend. Don’t forget to follow the blog for more bookish content.

Friday Reads #15

Hello Friends,
It’s time for another Friday reads post! I am going to try and finish a few books this weekend, but as always this is a flexible weekend TBR. I might change things up depending on what my Libby app has available on Audiobook, but I like having options.

Furyborn‘ by Claire Legrand
I’ve been reading this book for months and still just at 30%. It’s a YA fantasy that is apart of my 12 Book Challenge.

A Magic Steeped in Poison‘ by Judy I. Lin
I’m like 4% into this young adult fantasy, but so far I am loving it! I’m really going to try and get this finished but the end of the weekend.

With and Without You‘ by Austin Siegemund-Broka and Emily Wibberley
I’ve read every YA contemporary released by this author duo. But, I have yet to get to their release from last year, which is about two teens trying to navigate a long distance relationship.

Icebreaker’ by Hannah Grace
I posted a poll on my Bookstagram account voting on what ‘smutty‘ book I should read and this was the winner. Guess, I’m going to be seeing what all the hype is about.

Those are the books that I’m planning on picking up, but I’ve been in the biggest reading mood lately. And, right now I want to read everything especially fantasy series. Before you go, hit the follow button to get notified whenever there’s a new post.

This is a YA thriller about a haunted house. I’m really enjoying it and should be able to finish it about this weekend.

‘Furyborn’ by by Claire Legrand (30% Done)

‘Finale’ by Stephanie Garber (30% Done)
I flew by the two books in the Caraval trilogy, so I believe it will be a quick read. However, getting it read by this weekend might be a bit of a stretch.

‘Moment Of Truth’ by Kasie West (6% Done)
I typically can get a Kasie West book read in a day. I am confident that I’ll be able to have this book read once the weekend is over.

Friday Reads #11

Hi Friends,
I haven’t done a Friday reads post in a while, so I thought it would be fun to share my weekend reading plans. This weekend the Summer Mixtape Readathon is set to end, which I have been participating in. And, I only have one book left to read for the readathon. Now that’s enough chitchat let’s talk books.

Nightmare Before Christmas fans rejoice! Long Live the Pumpkin Queen picks up where the beloved film left off, with Sally in her new role as the Queen of Halloween Town. This delightful return to The Nightmare Before Christmas universe is sure to appeal to fans old and new.”

“From the star of MTV’s The Hills and The Hills: New Beginnings, a candid and insightful reflection on aughts tabloid fame, the powerlessness and loss of self in toxic situations, and the life-changing power of even our smallest choices.”

“The instant #1 New York Times bestseller! Stephanie Garber’s limitless imagination takes flight once more in the colorful, mesmerizing, and immersive sequel to the bestselling breakout debut Caraval. A heart to protect. A debt to repay. A game to win.”

Although, these are the books I’m planning to read this weekend I am not sure if I will read them all. Especially since I’ve become a mood reader. Honestly, I might just end up reading whatever I’m in the mood for at that moment. In the comments, tell me what you will be reading this weekend. Please support my book blog by giving it a quick follow.

Friday Reads #10

Hi Friends,
You are all probably use to my ‘Friday Reads’ posts by now. I love doing this post because it gives me the chance to fill you in on my reading. And honesty, my reading hasn’t been the best this week, but I am hoping to get out of my slump this weekend. I have started a lot of books, and would really like to finish some of them.

“The highly anticipated finale to the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series, the instant bestsellers that read like your favorite true crime podcast or show. By the end of this mystery series, you’ll never think of good girls the same way again.”

“It’s Kind of a Funny Story is a 2006 novel by American author Ned Vizzini. The book was inspired by Vizzini’s own brief hospitalization for depression in November 2004.”

“After being dumped so his boyfriend can pursue more “serious” guys, a teen boy decides to prove he can be serious, too, by running for senior class president in this joyful romp from the author of The Sky Blues.”

There you have the books that are on my radar for this weekend. I might change things up a bit, or who knows I may even start a new book. I really don’t know what my mood will be like as the weekend progresses. Nevertheless, if you want to know my thoughts on these books follow my blog to get post notifications. I try to always review each book that I read throughout the year.

Until The Next Chapter,
Bunny
