Hi Friends,
Today, we are talking fashion, but specifically bookish Halloween costumes. These costumes are ones that I think would be so much fun to dress up as this Halloween, whether you’re just handing out candy to trick-or-treaters or going to a party. I have put together three book-inspired Halloween looks that I think are more on the original side when it comes to Halloween book-related costumes.

Katrina Van Tassel from Karina Halle’s Hollow
Sleepy Hollow is not only a classic story, but I also love the Tim Burton movie adaptation. Katrina is an iconic character, and who doesn’t want to dress up in a beautiful Gothic Victorian-style outfit? Sure, this outfit might not be something you’d rewear, but it would be fun to step into Katrina Van Tassel’s closet on Halloween night.

Carrie from Stephen King’s Carrie
Of course, I had to add Carrie because this costume is super easy to put together, and you might even have some of these items in your wardrobe already! Plus, with the Amazon Prime TV adaptation recently released, this look is sure to be a hit. Just don’t forget to add some fake blood to your face and body to complete this iconic look!

The Raven from Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven
This costume is a little more fun and unique, but it’s also super simple to put together! So, if you’re looking for a last-minute costume with a book-inspired twist, look no further. I can almost guarantee that no one else will think to dress up as the Raven from Poe’s very well-known poem. Plus, it’s an easy costume that takes very little effort without looking like you just threw something together.
