Hi Friends,
I decided that since I was unable to attend Coachella 2026, I would create my own bookish version during weekend two, so I bring you Bookchella! This means I am spending my weekend reading books that give Coachella vibes, and here is how day one went.

I decided to start with Rise to the Sun by Leah Johnson. Not only is this an author I’ve read before (You Should See Me in a Crown Book Review), but it’s also a YA book, so I figured it would be a pretty fast read.

Of course, I had to start my morning with some coffee because I honestly cannot function without it. It is one of my biggest motivators to get out of bed in the mornings.

I also did a little shopping this day! I stopped by a local bookshop that had a lot of blind date with a book options, and I even went to Bath and Body Works. I absolutely love their candles! Before heading home, I stopped by Sam’s Club, and their book selection is always so good.

I ended up picking up four books that I’m very excited to add to my bookshelf! I really can’t wait to read And Now, Back to You by B.K. Borison, especially since I loved the first book in the series. I’m also a huge fan of K.L. Walther, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that their new book, We’re a Bad Idea, Right?, was out.

By the end of the day, I made it halfway through my book, and I am really loving the plot and the emotional topics it explores.
