Summer 2025 Book Sale | My Top Picks

Hi Friends,
Once again, Amazon is having their Buy One, Get One 50% Off book sale. Just like in the past, I’m going to share the books I’d definitely recommend picking up while they’re part of this deal. Since June is my birthday month, I’m actually trying not to buy any books, so I won’t be participating in the sale, but I still wanted to give you my recommendations.

Silver Elite by Dani Francis
This is the first book in a dystopian romance series, so it’s definitely giving Hunger Games and Divergent era vibes. There’s been a lot of talk in the book community about this one, but most of it is about the author, not the book itself. From what I’ve heard, the book is amazing and getting great reviews. Since it’s on sale, I’d definitely recommend grabbing it if you’ve been curious about the hype.

One Golden Summer by Carly Fortune
It’s summertime, so what’s better than a summer romance? This one seems like it has a little more depth than your typical romcom, which I love. I believe it’s a friends-to-lovers story and follows Alice, who spends the summer with her Nan at a lakeside cottage, just like they did one summer when she was a teenager. She ends up connecting with a man named Charlie, who happened to be the subject of a photo she took all those summers ago.

Summer Romance by Annabelle Monaghan
I haven’t read anything by this author before, but I’ve heard she writes closed-door romances that are perfect for summer. This book sounds like a quick and easy seasonal read. It follows a single mom who’s just trying to get her messy life back on track and I’m always here for that kind of story.

Hide by Kiersten White
This is a thriller I’ve been dying to read. It sounds like the perfect summer suspense novel. It’s set in an abandoned amusement park and centers around a competition. I love throwing a thriller into my summer reading because it breaks up all the romances and gives me those Summerween vibes.

Happy Place by Emily Henry
I definitely don’t need another copy, but if I were recommending just one amazing summer read to grab during the sale, it would be this one. I truly think you need to be in your late 20s to early 30s to fully appreciate it. It’s a wonderful second-chance romance with strong themes of friendship and growing up. I loved it.

Seven Days in June by Tia Williams
Obviously, the title screams perfect June read. I’ve been so intrigued by this one, and if I were shopping the sale, this would be in my cart. I’ve heard nothing but good things. It follows two writers who get a second chance at love, and it’s set in New York City, basically the ultimate summer romance setting.

Camp Foxenwood Readathon | Summer 2025

Hi Friends,
I’ve mentioned on the blog before that I’m part of Alexandra Roselyn’s Patreon. There are many benefits to being a member of her Patreon, but my favorite is the exclusive readathons. This summer we’re doing a camp-inspired one that starts June 9th and doesn’t end until the middle of July. While I can’t share the different bingo boards for the readathon, I will be sharing the prompts I’ll be doing. However, I’m only going to be participating in the readathon for the month of June!

Set In A Different World: Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree
Honestly, I read the first book in this cozy, low-stakes fantasy series, and I didn’t love it as much as I hoped I would. However, I’ve been wanting to pick up the second book, which is actually a prequel story. So, this prompt gives me the perfect reason to finally read it.

5 Star Prediction: A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal
If you’ve seen my June TBR, then you might remember seeing this book on there. I’ve been wanting to read this fantasy since it came out because the plot seems like something I would absolutely love. I truly think this could be a 5-star—possibly 6-star—read for me!

High Stakes: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
This is such a beloved fantasy book that I can’t wait to reread. The first time I read it was back in 2019, and I didn’t even have my blog then, so I never reviewed it on here. I’d love to reread the book and see if it still lives up to my original 5-star rating.

Any Fantasy: Fearless by Lauren Roberts
This is another book on my monthly TBR. I’m nervous about reading it because this series hasn’t been a favorite of mine, yet it’s the final book in the trilogy, and I’ll be happy to finally complete it. I just hope it doesn’t put me in a reading slump.

Free Space: Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher
I need as many short books as possible on this TBR, so for the free space, I decided a fantasy fairy-tale retelling novella would be the smart choice. I’ve only read one other book by this author, but I really enjoyed it, and I hope that’s the case here too.

Found Family: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
This is the second book in The Hunger Games series. I don’t think I’m stretching the prompt because from my research, it says the found family trope plays a big role in this book. I’m hoping that’s true. However, correct me in the comments if it isn’t, and I’ll swap it out for a different book.

Ocean on the Cover: Vengeance of the Pirate Queen by Tricia Levenseller
This is the third and final book in The Daughter of the Pirate King trilogy. I’ve had very different opinions about the first two books, but I love Tricia Levenseller’s writing. So, whether I end up enjoying it or not, I at least know it’ll likely be an easy read.

New Release: Our Infinite Fates by Laura Steven
This is a 2025 new release that I’ve been wanting to read. I haven’t heard anyone talking about it yet, but the plot sounds incredible. I’m not sure if it’s the start of a series or a standalone fantasy, but either way, I’m excited to give it a try.

Favorite Fantasy Trope: The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent
This book includes enemies-to-lovers and vampires—two of my favorite tropes. I’m being a bit ambitious putting such a long book on the TBR, but I flew through the first book in this series, so I suspect this one will be a quick read too.

Let’s discuss some indie April book releases! I’m passionate about indie books because not enough people talk about the awesome self-published books out there. But don’t worry, I’ve got this! Get ready to find some new indie books to add to your TBR. I’m so hyped for these indie April releases!

Awakening by J. Ross (April 1st)

Amazon is having a buy three for the price of two book sale. I skipped the last book sale, but I posted about some books you should check out. I’m not sure if I’ll buy any myself, but here are some books you should grab while they’re on sale!


Quicksilver by Callie Hart
This romantasy is a huge hit on BookTok! It’s supposed to be full of action, witty banter, and an enemies-to-lovers romance. It started as an indie book, but now a traditional publisher put it out.


Sunrise On The Reaping by Suzanne Collins
This is the newest addition to The Hunger Games series. Everyone loves this book, and I can’t wait to read the original trilogy, so I don’t miss out. If you’re into dystopian books with action, adventure, and killer writing, snag this series while it’s on sale!


The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
I didn’t love this story, but the twist at the end was awesome! If you’re interested in thrillers or have heard people talking about this one, it’s well worth picking up, especially with this deal.

Throne Of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Although I haven’t read any of SJM’s books, I’m aware of her immense popularity. Not only is the complete Throne of Glass box set discounted, but it’s also part of the three-for-two sale. I’ve heard this fantasy series about an assassin is a beloved favorite among book readers.


Off To The Races by Elsie Silver
I became an Elsie Silver fan after reading (and loving) her “Chestnut Springs” series. This is the first book in a new series that is, I believe, supposed to be read before Chestnut Springs. This is a small town ranch romance, and I believe the MMC is the FMC’s boss!

How To Survive Your Murder by Danielle Valentine
This book is perfect for fans of cheesy horror films. I love this campy slasher book and jumped at the chance to recommend it when I saw it on sale. If you love 90’s teen horror movies, you’ll adore this crazy, bloody, YA horror story that just so happens to take place on Halloween.

Valentine’s Day Sweetheart | Book Tag

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you’re spending today with people you love, or just enjoying some me-time! To celebrate Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d do a book tag inspired by it. YouTuber ‪@PamperedPages‬ created Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Tag, which has some really fun romance related book questions!

It’s not really a Valentine’s candy, but I love sour gummies. But honestly, I’d rather have Valentine’s Day donuts than candy.

Absolutely! I love all types of books, but I’m especially into adult romances and romantasy novels these days.

I usually read a lot of romance novels around Valentine’s Day, but I’m a mood reader, so I don’t stick to one genre. However, because most books I read have a romantic subplot, they still fit the week’s romance theme.

A handwritten love letter! Being an affirmation girl, a simple love letter is enough to make my day feel extra special. And flowers would be a really nice bonus!

Of all the romance authors, I probably own the most books by Ali Hazelwood and Abby Jimenez. I love Ali’s books so much; I buy them as soon as they come out. Believe it or not, I have all of Abby Jimenez’s books and haven’t read a single one. It’s kinda embarrassing to say.

That’ll probably always be Five Feet Apart. It’s one of the saddest romance novels I’ve ever read. This book has the best teen love story ever! But if you read it, get ready for heartbreak.

This is a really hard question, but I’ll say Epicot. It’s a bit out there, but wouldn’t a Valentine’s Day date trying all that delicious food be so fun?

Definitely “Holly” by Adalyn Grace! It’s a Belladonna novella—a holiday one. I’m a huge fan of that series, so I can’t wait for this book!

As a huge audiobook lover, I’m always on the hunt for the best deals because, let’s be real, they can get pricey. Lately, I’ve noticed more and more books being included with an Audible subscription, so I figured I’d share some audiobooks you can listen to for free if you’re a member. Basically, I did the work for you—now you can just add these to your library without the hassle of searching. You’re welcome!

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

I’m gonna be completely honest—I’m not an SJM fan and probably never will be. But I know her books are wildly popular. So when I saw this was free with an Audible membership, I knew I had to mention it!

Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh

I’ve been wanting to listen to this series for the longest time, but I know it’s super emotional with a few intense TW. Honestly, I don’t know if I’m ready to sob that much. But since it’s free with an Audible subscription, I might just have to bite the bullet and start it.

The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen

This is actually an Audible exclusive audiobook! I believe it’s the first book in a fantasy romance series (correct me in the comments if I’m wrong!). I’ve been wanting to read A Fate Inked in Blood by this author, but this is her first fantasy series, and I’ve heard great things about it. Since it’s included with my Audible membership, I may need to give it a try.

Lightlark by Alex Aster

I’ve heard so many mixed opinions on this YA fantasy series, which is probably why I haven’t picked it up yet. But apparently, the books just keep getting better, so I’m curious! Right now, it’s free to listen to if you have an Audible subscription. I’m not sure if I’ll actually take advantage of that since I have other books I’m more interested in. Still, if you’ve been wanting to start this series, now might be the perfect time.

If We Meet Again by Ana Huang

This is the first book in the If Love romance series, and to be totally honest, I know nothing about it. Ana Huang is an author I’ve been open to trying, but I’ve never felt a strong pull towards her books. I believe she writes a lot of mafia romances, which aren’t really my thing. That said, she’s a BookTok favorite author, so I wanted to mention that this audiobook is free right now with an Audible membership in case anyone wants to check it out.

Best Books Of 2024!

Hi Friends,
Today we’re doing my ‘Best Books of 2024’ post! I’m actually super excited to share this, because I had such a great reading year in 2024. I read so many five-star books and discovered a ton of new favorites. It might have actually been my best year since starting my blog, which is crazy to think about! Without further ado, here are the best books of 2024, according to me.


12. Witch of Wild Things by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland
This book surprised me, because I didn’t even know it existed until it was recommended to me. I loved the witchy aspects of the story and the romance plot. I had such a good time reading this book, and didn’t expect to love it as much as I did. It’s definitely an underrated gem that fans of romance with magical elements should check out.

11. Our Violent Ends by Chloe Gong
This is the conclusion to the Violent Delights duology, and as a whole, I truly enjoyed this series. The ending was done so well—I loved so many elements of this book, and the characters are amazing. There were moments when I cried, was shocked, and couldn’t put it down. The ending was intense and fast-paced, keeping me invested the entire time.


10. A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair
I loved every second of this book. It’s a spicy Hades and Persephone retelling that I think about all the time. If you’re looking for a book with great spice and a compelling plot, this is it. I didn’t know much about the original Hades and Persephone myth going into it, but I had such an amazing time reading it, and I’m excited to continue with the series.


9. Reckless by Elsie Silver
This is part of the Chestnut Springs interconnected standalone romance series, and it came as no surprise that I loved this book. After reading the first book in the series, I knew I’d be obsessed with Winter’s character and connect with her on a deeper level—and I wasn’t wrong. This book features a trope I haven’t read much of, and I really enjoyed it. I loved the pacing and romance, even though I’m not usually a fan of the “older woman, younger man” trope. Winter’s character, and her similarities to me, really made this book special.


8. Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett
This cozy fantasy may not be for everyone, but I found it incredibly enjoyable. I loved the world-building and the journal-entry format—it’s such a fun way to tell a story. Emily and Wendell’s characters were great, and their romance was done perfectly. It wasn’t the main focus, but their connection was clear, which I really liked in a cozy fantasy.

7. How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix
I haven’t enjoyed many books by Grady Hendrix, so I went into this one with low expectations—but I ended up sobbing by the end. It completely blew me away and made it onto my best books of the year list. This is a grim horror involving puppets (I know, that sounds wild, but trust me). If you’re a horror reader, give this one a chance—you won’t be disappointed.


6. Powerless by Elsie Silver
Another book from the Chestnut Springs series, and it features the friends-to-lovers trope. I can’t explain why I loved this book so much, but I think it has a lot to do with Sloan and Jasper’s characters. Their personalities made this book so good. I also loved the character development, which is something I really enjoy in romance novels.


5. Wisteria by Adalyn Grace
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’re probably not surprised to see the third book in the Belladonna series on my best books of 2024 list. This is one of my all-time favorite fantasy romance series, and I recommend it all the time. I’m sad it’s the final full-length book in the series, but I loved how it was wrapped up. As a Blythe fan, I’m so glad we got a book from her point of view.


4. Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
If you enjoy lyrical writing and historical fiction with magical elements, this duology is for you! I can’t explain how incredibly well-written this book is, and the plot is like nothing I’ve read before. Iris and Rowan are literal couple goals. Their chemistry was off the charts, and the pacing was perfect—so much happened, and the world-building was incredible.

3. Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney
I’ve never read a thriller with such a shocking twist. I couldn’t put this book down and binged it in one sitting. I’m probably late to the game on this one, but if you haven’t read it, you definitely should. If you love mysteries with isolated settings, family drama, and a Halloween backdrop, this book is for you.

2. Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer
I had mixed feelings going into this one, but I couldn’t put it down. There were so many moments that had me giggling and blushing. This is the perfect book for someone just getting into the romantasy genre. While there’s actual romance in the book, you can tell where it’s headed, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. The MMC and FMC are perfect for each other, and the ending left me eager for the sequel.

I can’t believe my favorite book of 2024 is a second-chance romance. I’m usually not a fan of this trope, but this book struck such a chord with me. I felt all the feels. I think you have to be in a very specific place in your life to fully appreciate this story, but everything from the characters to the plot, romance, and conflict was perfect. This is a book I’ll be recommending for years to come.
