Hi Friends,
I wanted to do a bookish summer tag post, and after doing a little research, I decided that the “The Summer Bucket List” book tag would be the perfect choice.


1) Hit the Beach: a book set by the water?
I don’t believe I have read many books that take place by the water. The only one that comes to mind is “Listen To Your Heart” by Kasie West. I could be completely wrong about this taking place near water, but I am going to go with it anyways. This is a YA contemporary that has elements of romance, podcasting, and a love triangle of sorts. I usually enjoy Kasie West books, and this one was no exception.


2) Watch Fireworks: a book with a fiery romance?
I don’t know if this counts as a fiery romance, but recently I read “Cool For The Summer” by Dahlia Adlier. The characters started as friends and an unexpected romance grew from there. I think the romance was pretty intense. Some might even call it fiery.


3) Go for a Road Trip: a book that involves a journey?
I haven’t read a lot of books that involve a journey, yet I read “Time Of Our Lives” by Emily Webberly and Austin Siegemund​-Broka. It follows two high school seniors that cross-paths during their college tour road trips. I have a review on the book that you can read if you’d like.


4) Camp Under the Stars: a book that left you starstruck?
The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee! This is a YA contemporary with dystopian and sci-fi elements. The whole plot, including the twist at the end, left me 100% star-struck. This is another book that I have reviewed.


5) Marathon some Movies: a book you couldn’t put down?
This is an easy pick for me, If I’m Being Honest by Emily Webberly and Austin Siegemund​-Broka. I was going to DNF it, but I am very happy I didn’t. After the fifth chapter, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. I finished it in two days, which is unusual for me.


6) Go Out for Ice Cream: a book with a sweet romance?
I chose “Simon vs the Homosapien Agenda” by Becky Albertalli. Sure, most of the romance took place through emails and the two didn’t know each others identities. But I loved how sweet and real their relationship was from the start. Simon and Blue fell in love in such an innocent and adorable way that you cannot help but love their relationship.


7) Picnic in the Park: a book that was a breath of fresh air?
This is an odd pick, but still, I have my reasons for choosing it. The book id “It’s Kind Of A Funny Story” by Ned Vizzini. The book deals with anxiety and mental health in a way that I haven’t seen before. I don’t know if I can classify it as YA, though it isn’t Adult, either. The story follows a teenage boy as he admits himself into the hospital psych ward. It talks about serious topics that a lot of books shy away of, which was very refreshing.


8) Go for a Hike: a character who conquered an obstacle?
How can I not go with Katniss Everdeen from “The Hunger Games” by Susan Collins. She, willing, volunteered to enter a game of life and death. Although she was fighting for her life instead of being ruthless, she was smart. She faced many challenges, all for the ones she loved. Also, she is badass.


9) Grill some BBQ: a book featuring delicious food?
Again, I haven’t read many books about food. But I am going with “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” by Jenny Han. The main Character, Lara-Jean Song-Covey, loves to bake. She makes tons of delicious sweets throughout the trilogy.


10) Watch the Sunrise: a book that inspired you?
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott! The relationship between the March sisters was inspiring. They supported each other always, even though they all chose different paths for their lives. It shows that not everyone has the same dreams and that is okay. It proves that there are more important things in life than money mainly family and love.

Book Blogger Myths & Blogging Tips

Hi Friends,
Today, I am going to be shattering those myths of being a book blogger. I think these are Booktube myths as well, but I could be wrong. I am including a few blogger tips for all you new bloggers, or those of you thinking of starting a blog.

No Books Necessary
A lot of people think that book blogging is all about having a huge personal library. We see bloggers posting their rainbow bookshelves on Bookstagram, and we think the first step to being a book blogger is to buy books. This is completely untrue. Many book bloggers use the library and borrow books from friends. You can even use apps such as Libby and Overdrive to get audiobook and ebook copies of books from your local library. You can still share your love of books without owning a single book.

Book Hauls Aren’t A Requirement
This is piggybacking off the last myth, but book hauls don’t matter. Yes, it is cool to see the book people buy or receive, still, there are tons of minimalist book bloggers out there. Also, a lot of book bloggers go on book buying bans until the clear their tbrs. I don’t typically buy books, so most of my collection is books I’ve received as gifts. Library hauls are a great option, or buying discounted books from a local thrift shop is an inexpensive way to grow your collection as well.

Reading, Reading, Reading
I used to think that I couldn’t be part of the book community because I was an extremely slow reader. Luckily, that isn’t a problem anymore, but truthfully, it doesn’t matter how many books you read a month. There are tons of people in the book community that only manage to read one or two books a month. You are not alone in your struggles to read, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t hit your GoodReads goal. As long as you have a passion for books, and you engage in the community, you are golden.

What Everyone Else Is Reading
This might shock you, but you’d have to read the same books as all the other book bloggers. It is a common mistake that all book bloggers have to read the same books and genres. At times, I am guilty of trying to read what’s popular. I’m not saying it isn’t nice to read multiple opinions on the same story, but people, including myself, read book blogs to discover new, underrated books. Don’t be scared to read for yourself, and not what people except you to read.

Want An ARC
I am sorry to break this to you, but if you want to become a book blogger just to get arcs, you’re wasting your time. Yes, sometimes book bloggers are fortunate enough to receive ACRS of books. But this rarely happens, especially for physical copies. Publishing companions are very selective about sending out review copies. Most of authors and publishers are turning to Netgalley for ARC releases. I have been using the platform for a while, and I can say that getting approved for some ACRS aren’t easy. Don’t start a book blog for money or gifts.

Tech Savvy
The last myth I want to shatter is that you have to be some web design wizard to start a blog. True, there is a learning curve when starting any kind of blog. But a lot of sites, such as Squarespace or WordPress, are pretty straight forward. Also, there are tons of articles and YouTube videos on how to navigate just about any platform.

As for my tips, I only have a few, so don’t stop reading yet.
1) Write Before Publishing: This is something I wish I had done before publishing my blog. I think you should write at least 10 to 20 blog posts before launching your blog. This way, you have a lot of posts that will go up so that you don’t have to worry about writing a new post every week. You can focus on reading and writing as you go.

2) Set Schedule: Some people might say this is due to my need to plan everything, but I think having a posting schedule is important. Whether you post once a week, month or even once a year, you should pick one day for your post to go up. This way, your readers know which day to visit your site for a new post. I don’t think a set time is as necessary as a regular day, but having both couldn’t hurt.

3) Always Edit: I didn’t do this with my earlier posts, but I found that editing and proof reading is a must. You should read over your post at least twice before publishing it. Also, if you suck at grammar like myself, it couldn’t hurt to use an editing software or subscription. I hear that Grammarly is a great resource for bloggers. But keep in mind their subscription is quite expensive.

Mid-Year Book Freakout // Book Tag

Hi Friends,
Honestly, I cannot believe we are halfway through the year. It feels like just yesterday we were still dealing with the mess that was last year, and setting goals for 2021. I am happy that this year is turning out to be much brighter than the previous. And I have been reading more books than ever. I am going to be doing the “Mid-Year Book Freakout” tag. This is a book tag that was created a couple of years ago that has question about how your reading year has been going thus far.

Best Book You’ve Read So Far This Year?
Out of all the books I’ve read so far my favorite two are You Should See Me In A Crown by Leah Johnson and If I’m Being Honest by Austin Siegemund-Broka and Emily Wibberley. I gave both of these books five stars and have reviewed them as well.

Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far This Year?
Sadly, right now I have only read one sequel, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” by J.K. Rowling. I had never read the entire HP series before, so in 2019, I decided it was time to see what all the hype was about. Although the author is not my favorite person, to say the least, I still wanted to continue reading the books.

New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want To?
I am sure there are a ton, but one that comes to mind is Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales. It was released in March, and is, Leah On The Offbeat meet To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. It has a bisexual main character and what seems like a complicated romance. For me, this book could either be a two-star read or five-star, so I am nervous to pick it up.

Most Anticipated Release For The Second Half Of The Year?
I had to do a little research for this question, and a book that caught my eye was Kendare Blake’s “All These Bodies”. I don’t know if it’s the fact that it reminds me of the Freeform series Cruel Summer, or that I am dipping my toes into the thriller side of reading. But I am interested in picking this book up as soon as it is released, on September 16. The story takes place in 1958—correct me if I’m wrong, and is about a serial killer that drains the blood from his victims. But when the Carlson family is murdered, the lead suspect is Marie Hale, who was found at the seen covered in blood. Does that not sound creepy and gripping?

Time Of Our LivesBiggest Disappointment?
I hate raging on books, but there are some that haven’t lived up to my expectations. The biggest disappointment for me was Time Of Our Lives by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka. To say my that I had high-hopes for this book is an understatement. I was very frustrated with the book, and it was a major letdown for me.

Biggest Surprise?
The Thousandth Floor (The Thousandth Floor #1) by Katharine McGee automatically comes to mind. I am not a sci-fi fantasy reader normally, but this book was amazing. I loved most of the characters, and all the plot twists and turns. I hope that the rest of the series falls in the first books footsteps and surprises me as well.

Favorite New Author (Debut Or New To You)?
This year I have read a few new-to-me authors, but I wouldn’t say any of them have become a favorite. I have liked some more than others, yet I haven’t discovered a new instant-read author.

Newest Fictional Crush?
I am a happily married woman and love my husband dearly. But I do occasionally find some fictional characters very charming. Funny enough, my newest fictional crush is from a one of my disappointing reads of the year. I fell head-over-heels for the awkward, nerdy wordsmith that is Fitz Holton in “Time Of Our Lives.” He was sweet, smart and innocent, and he always put his family first. What girl can resist a guy like that?

Newest Favorite Character?
Is it bad to say I don’t have one. I have read many books with great characters this year, but none of them stand out to me as a favorite.

Book That Made You Cry?
100% Tunnel of Bones (Cassidy Blake #2) by Victoria Schwab, which might be a strange answer. For some reason this story book my heart. This series falls a young girl who can see ghosts, and along with her ghost best friend, Jacob, they help other spirits to move on. This book was a tad spine-chilling, but what pulled at my heart strings was the tragedy of the ghosts death. It was hard for me to read, and I shed some tears.

Book That Made You Happy?
Geekerella by Ashley Poston, since it was your typically lighthearted YA contemporary. The story was sweet and simple, as was the romance. I thought Ashley Poston did a fantastic job turning the classic story of Cinderella and turning it into a modern-day teen romance.

The Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought So Far This Year (Or Received)?
I haven’t bought or received any books so far this year. I do love the cover of House Of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland. I wouldn’t say it describes the book plot as at all, but it is a very spring and summer cover with an unusual element.

What Books Do You Need To Read By The End Of The Year?
I don’t think there are any books that I have to read before the years end. But I have a lot of books that I would love to get to read. I want to finish some of the series I have started, and some hyped books I never got a chance to pick up. I would be happy to finish the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins that I started back in 2018.

Hallmark & More // Update

Hi Friends,
As you all know that books are a big part of my life. However, I am a shameless Hallmark movie lover. I thought it would be fun to incorporate that into my blog. I want to start reviewing Hallmark movies for you all. I will be reviewing old and new movies from the network just as I do books.

I know this seems random, but I think it would be a fun addition to my blog. I could review Netflix and Lifetime original movies as well. I understand that this wont be something everyone will enjoy, but it could be pretty fun. I would love to know your thoughts, and some Hallmark movie recommendations.

In July, Hallmark does Christmas in July, which means a lot of Christmas movie reviews coming your way. But don’t worry I will still be keeping up with my book content as well. I think that this added content will be a lot of fun and I’m excited for it.

What’s On My Netgalley Shelf?

Hello Book Lovers,
In this post, I am going to share my Netgalley library. I have a lot of ARCs I need to get to, so I thought it might be fun to share the books I’ve been approved for. I will give a small rundown of the book, and why I requested it for review.

The Everything I Have Lost by Sylvia Zeleny (May 11th): This is a coming-of-age young adult story about 12-year-old Julia who is struggling to deal with life in Juarez, Mexico and her fathers sudden disappearance. Zeleny is a bilingual author from Mexico, and I love it when others can write from personal experience. Also, I thought that this story was different from traditional YA novels, since the lead is younger and just beginning her teen years. This is sure to be a very emotional story.

A Chorus Rises: A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow (June 01st): The story follows a teen influencer that has the perfect life. She posses fame, beauty and is a Eloko. This means that she has a melody that nobody can resit. However, her life takes a turn for the worse when she gets canceled for exposing a Siren to the world. I love the mix of contemporary and fantasy in a very unique way. I haven’t read a lot of magical realism, so I am looking forward to try a new genre.

The Stars of Whistling Ridge by Cindy Baldwin (June 15th): A middle grade novel about magic, a curse town and finding a place to call home. I have never been drawn to middle grade stories, but this one sounded adorable. Honestly, I feel like this could be the plot of a Disney movie. I just know that it is going to take me on a magical journey, and tug at my heartstrings.

My Contrary Mary by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, & Jodi Meadows (June 22nd): This is the first book in a new series by these talented authors. They are best known for their Lady Janies series that contained of three book each a retelling of a fame Jane (Lady Jane Grey, Jane Eyre and Calamity Jane). In this new series of books we will be following Marys starting with Mary is the queen of Scots. I have only read the first book in the Janies series, My Lady Jane. However, I absolutely loved it. I was very happy to get this ARCs since this story takes place in the same world as My Lady Jane.

Cheer Up: Love and Pompoms by Crystal Frasier (Aug 10th): This is a graphic novel that deals with social pressure, friendship and cheerleading with trans and queer representation. I am not a huge graphic novel fan, but I think that this will be a new favorite of mine. Truth be told, I am a total fangirl for cheerleading stories. I have seen all the Bring It On films and was obsessed with the short-lived Hellcats series. Also, you know I love me some diverse characters.

The Endless Skies by Shannon Price (Aug 17): An epic fantasy about a hidden city home of the Leonodai warriors. Seventeen-year-old Rowan is ready to become a Leonodai until a deadly disease plagues the city’s children. Soon Rowan discovers secrets that could change her future and everything she once dreamed. I have made it no secret that I don’t read a lot of fantasy. Although, I was very intrigued by not only the plot, but that this was a standalone. This book gives me classic YA fantasy book feels, which I am loving. As well, as the fact that I don’t have to worry about adding another series to my tbr.

April 2021 // Reading Wrap-Up

Hello Book Lovers,
In the month of April, I read 4 books total. I am happy with that number, since I did take a small week-long reading break during the month. I feel like most of the books I have read haven’t amazed me. I don’t feel like I am a hash book rater at all, still a lot of the books have simply been 3 star reads for me. Also, I want to note that whatever I rate about doesn’t mean it is at all bad. Book ratings are all personal opinions.

If I’m Being Honest by Austin Siegemund-Broka and Emily Wibberley: 5.0/5.0 Stars
Incredible! I was going to dnf this book, but I am glad I stuck with it. It is a new favorite of mine.

Bookish and the Beast by Ashley Poston: 3.5/5.0 Stars
This is a cute contemporary retelling, but not standout in my opinion.

They Wish They Were Us by Jessica Goodman: 3.0/5.0 Stars
I have mixed feelings about this book. I didn’t love it, didn’t hate. It was okay.

Time Of Our Lives by Austin Siegemund-Broka and Emily Wibberley: 3.0/5.0 stars
Of course, I had to pick up another book by this author duo. Unfortunately, this one was a bit of a let down.

As always I will be doing reviews for each book, so that I can share my complete thoughts on them. I was very happy to have read a five-star read, but I feel as though the rest of the books put me in a small reading slump at the end of the month. March 2021 Reading Wrap-Up

Hello Book Lovers,
It is March wrap-up time! I had a pretty good reading month in March, and feel as though I rediscovered my love of books. I read 5 books last month, and I am happy with that total. I am trying not to put as much pressure on myself to read, and I think that has helped a lot.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling: 5/5 Stars
I am doing my first read through of this series please don’t yell at me. I loved this book even more than the first and found it very funny.

The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston: 3.5/5 Stars
This book was very mediocre, and not favorite. I didn’t love it or hate it, but it was a little disappointing.

Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab: 4/5 Stars
I started this trilogy a while ago, and remember the first book being slightly creepy. However, the ghost story in this one pulled at my heart-strings. I did still really enjoy it.

Admission by Julie Buxbaum: 4/5 Stars
This wasn’t on my tbr for the month, but I am glad I picked it up. I feel like it is an underrated newer release, and I am glad I read it.

The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee: 4/5 Stars
Wow, Wow! Need I say more?

April 2021 TBR

Hello Book Lovers,
It is monthly tbr time once again! I am happy that it is finally April, because March seemed to last forever. I have a pretty ambitious tbr planned for this month, but I am ready for the challenge. I do have a few books rolling over from March that I will be continuing, still most of them I haven’t started at all.

Twilight by Stephanie Meyers: My husband and I started the audiobook at the beginning of March. I was using this for the Tis The Damn Readathon prompt of “Book with a Film Adaption.” We are only 13% into it, but I don’t mind it taking a bit. However, I would like to make it more of a priority this month.

10 Truths And A Dare by Ashley Elston: I was using this for the Tis The Damn Readathon as well. I believe it was for the “5 Star Prediction” prompt. I got approved for the arc on Netgalley, and have been reading the e-book. I am enjoying it a lot, but just haven’t had a lot of time to dedicate to it. I really want to dive more into it, because I enjoy Ashley Elston’s writing.

The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill: This is a middle grade book about a witch and a human girl she raised from a baby after giving her magical powers. Honestly, I don’t know much about it besides it being a favorite among readers. I tried starting it once before and didn’t get very far into it. I am hoping I will actually finish it this time around. I don’t think I read enough last time to form any distinct thoughts.

If I’m Being Honest by Austin Siegemund-Broka and Emily Wibberley: I have no idea why, but this book as been on my radar recently. I have read one other book by this duo before and didn’t love it, still this one seems more up my alley. It is supposed to give you that teen rom-com feel. I don’t know much about it except that it is about a high-school girl who is known as a b*tch, so she tries to change her image to get a guy. Although, I could be completely wrong.

There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins: In 2018, I dnf this book because I couldn’t get into it. The writing felt off and the plot was slow-moving. Nevertheless, I am in the mood for a thriller and I here that Netflix is turning this into a film. I decided I would give the book a second chance before the movie adaption is released. From what I have gathered about the plot it is like The CW version of the Scream movies. If that makes any sense at all.

My Plain Jane by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows: I love this trio of authors. I read their first collaboration “My Lady Jane,” and to my surprise I loved it. I don’t know anything about this book, but I have heard that it is a Jane Eyre retelling. I am not familiar with the original story, still I am looking forward to reading their take on it.

Bookish and the Beast by Ashley Poston: I have been on a Once Upon a Con kick lately. I am excited to finish this series of companion novels. I have a review up on the first book Geekerella and will be doing a review of the second very soon. I think that this is the last book in this world, which is bittersweet. Not sure about the plot, but I think it’s a Beauty and the Beast retelling, which I am here for!

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson: This will be my first Matson read. Yep, it is shocking that someone who loves contemporaries I haven’t read any of her books. Once again, I have no clue what the book is about just that it is a contemporary following a girl and I think she somehow becomes a dog walker. I really have no idea.

I might try to tackle some other arcs, or perhaps throw in a mood read. I am enjoying reading a lot these days, so I hope my want to read stays with me in April. Mid-Month Reading Update

Hello bookish friends.
This is a quick little mid-month reading, watching and listening update.I thought it would be fun to let you know how my reading has been going. Also, I thought I would throw in what I have been watching and listening too lately. I plan to do this type of post each month, so I hope you guys like it.

Reading
I have read three books this month, which isn’t bad in my opinion. I am hoping to finish two more books before the end of the month. I know my original goal was 9 books, still I am very happy with how my reading is going. I am sticking to my monthly tbr as well.

Movies
Netflix’s Prom The Musical (8.0/10.00 Stars): This was such a cute and fun musical. It is based on a Broadway musical, and stars some amazing actors. All the songs were great, yet my favorites has to be “Love Thy Neighbor.”

The Live Action Tom and Jerry Movie (4.0/10.0 Stars): I have never been a Tom and Jerry fan, so I might not be the target audience for this movie. I can appreciate the modern day take on the classic cartoon, but I felt it lack something. It was slow at times and not very funny.

Legally Blonde (9.0/10.0 Stars): Yep! We watched this 2000s gem. It was a good time and I fell in love with this movie all over again. Need I say more.

Valley Girl (5.0/10.0 Stars): This movie was a 2020 release, and is a musical with a Romeo and Juliet type plot. The songs where covers of classic 80s hits, still the over all story was a bit mundane. However, despite my low rating I would watch this movie again. Yeah I am strange.

My 2021 Must Reads

Hello bookish friends,
I wanted to do a post about my must reads of the year. There are so many books from past years that I have never gotten too, so this year I am making a yearly tbr, of sorts, for myself. These are the books that are my top priority of the year, but I am not putting in pressure on myself. I find that I read better when I am doing it for fun instead of need. However, I would be very proud if I got to all of these books by the end of the year. I want to quickly note that the last two on this list are authors and not specific books that I want to get too.

Blood Heir by Amélie Wen Zhao: This trilogy is about Anastacya Mikhailov, a crown princess, who has the ability to control blood, a power she has kept secret for years. However, her lifes turns upside down when she becomes the prime suspect in her father’s murder. She must turn to a crime lord, Ramson Quicktongue, to help clear her name.

This series is completely out of my comfort zone, but the cover has me sold. The first book, in the series, was released in 2019 while the second was released early this month. I haven’t heard practically anyone talk about these books, so I will be going into them pretty blind. I will for sure do a review on each book or the trilogy as a whole once I read them all. I would really like to start this series soon.

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott: This is the story of the March sisters Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. We follow the girls as they grow-up, fall in love and face tragedy. I don’t think this book needs much of a description since it is a classic and has had countless movie adaptions released. I am a big fan of the Little Women story and movies, but I have never read the actually novel. I am not the biggest classic books fan, yet I hope to get to this one. I am giving myself a break if I don’t complete the book by the end of the year, still I would like to have started it.

House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig: This is a dark retelling of the twelve dancing princess. The main character, Annaleigh, grows suspensions when four of her sisters lives are tragically cut short. Each of their deaths written off as an accident and the villagers think that the family is cursed. Once Annaleigh meets a mysterious stranger she decides to uncover the truths about these death before her life is taken as well.

Honestly, I know nothing about the twelve dancing princess story, so I am not really looking at this book like a retelling. I have been intrigued by this novel since it’s release. It is a dark, twisted tale that I don’t typically pick up, but I want to get into horror and thrillers this year. I will probably be reading this in October for Halloween, yet I might get to it sooner if I am in a spooky mood.

Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan: This trilogy follows Lei chosen as one of the king’s Paper Girls. Each year, 8 girls are selected to serve the king, but this year is different because there is a ninth girl, made of fire. This series is all about secrets, revenge and forbidden love.

I am mix of emotions when it comes to starting this trilogy. I haven’t heard a lot of good things about it, still the synopsis sounds interesting. However, I feel like the plot could be a bit slower and not as fast paced as I would like in fantasies. I haven’t read anything from this author before, so I am willing to give it a chance. Also, there is supposedly LGBT representation in the book, which is awesome.

Kasie West: I have been a fan of hers for the last few years and usually love all her books. She has quickly become one of my favorite YA contemporary authors to read. I know for some people her books fall short, but for me they are fast, lighthearted reads that I enjoy. I have read three of her books, yet there are so many more that I haven’t had a chance to get too. I would love to pick up some of her older titles this year. She is mostly known for her contemporaries, but she does have a fantasy duology out that I am interested in reading. I am not sure how many of her books I will be able to get to by the end of the year, still I am going to try to catch up on her works.

Jenn Bennett: This is another author I am hoping to get to in 2021. As you probably know by now my love for contemporaries run deep, and people rave about Jenn Bennett’s contemporaries. I am a slightly nervous to read one of her book, because she gives me Sarah Dessen vibes, which is an author I don’t typically enjoy. However, people tend to hype up her books so I am going to try to give her a chance. I am unsure of what book I will read by her, yet I was leaning towards “Serious Moonlight” since it is a contemporary with a mystery element to it. I would love suggestions from other readers about which of her books I should pick up first.

Those are all the books on my yearly tbr, but don’t worry I will still be doing my monthly tbrs.
